Teflon
PFA plastic
PFA plastic is a small amount of perfluoropropyl perfluorovinyl ether and polytetrafluoroethylene copolymer. The melting cohesiveness increased, the viscosity of the solution decreased, and the properties did not change compared with PTFE. This resin can be directly processed into products by ordinary thermoplastic forming method. Suitable for the production of corrosion resistant parts, wear resistant parts, sealing parts, insulation parts and medical instruments, high temperature wire, cable insulation layer, anti-corrosion equipment, sealing materials, pump valve bushing, and chemical containers.
Perfluoroalkyl resin
PFA resin is a relatively new fusible fluorine plastic.
The melting point of PFA is about 580F with a density of 2.13 -- 2.16g/cc (g/cc). PFA is similar to PTFE and FEP, but at 302T, the mechanical properties are slightly better than FEP, and can be used at temperatures up to 500F, its chemical resistance is comparable to PTFE. PFA products are in the form of granular products for molding and extrusion, powder products for rotary molding and coating; Its semi-finished products include film, plate, rod and pipe. PFA resins sold in the United States are DUPOut's Teflon brand, Daikin's Neoflon brand, Ansimont's Hthen brand, and HOechst Celanese's Hostafl brand. The purpose of PFA is similar to that of FEP.
