Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene copolymer is a kind of chemical substance, ETFE is the strongest fluorine plastic, it keeps PTFE good heat resistance, chemical resistance and electrical insulation properties at the same time, radiation resistance and mechanical properties have been greatly improved, tensile strength can reach 50MPa, close to PTFE 2 times.


Ethylene - tetrafluoroethylene copolymer film as a crystalline polymer, the melting point of 256~280℃. Alene can be self-extinguishing when burning. Its high shear mechanical strength, low temperature impact resistance is the best existing fluorine plastics, from room temperature to -80℃ can have high impact strength, stable chemical properties, electrical insulation and radiation resistance. The actual use of ETFE film began in the 1990s, mainly as agricultural greenhouse covering material, all kinds of special-shaped building awning film material, such as sports stadium stands, building cone roof, entertainment field, revolving restaurant awning, entertainment hall awning, parking lot, exhibition hall and museum. The "Garden of Eden", one of the British new millennium ritual projects, has the reputation of "the eighth wonder of the world". It consists of four dome-like buildings connected to form the world's largest greenhouse, covered with a transparent cover made of ETFE thin film material, which is only 1% of the mass of the same area of glass, transparent sheets can be recycled and have good insulation.

Application field:

1, suitable for the production of corrosion resistant parts, wear reduction parts, sealing parts, insulation parts and medical equipment parts.

2, wire, cable insulation layer, anti-corrosion equipment, sealing materials, pump valve bushing, and chemical container.

3. Industrial and agricultural architectural film, examples: "Eden" in the UK, "Water Cube" in Beijing.
