The EMS Group is active globally in two primary business areas, high-performance polymers, and specialty chemicals.
The high-performance polymers business area is covered by EMS-GRIVORY and EMS-EFTEC. EMS-GRIVORY is a top professional manufacturer and supplier of high-performance polyamides, offering polyamide materials for an extremely wide range of applications. EMS-GRIVORY is comprised of three business units: EMS-GRIVORY Europe, EMS-GRIVORY Americas, and EMS-GRIVORY Asia. EMS-EFTEC is a leading global supplier of adhesives, sealants, and coatings, including those used in engineered systems for the automotive industry, using the EFTEC name.
The specialty chemicals business area is the responsibility of the EMS-GRILTECH and EMS-PATVAG divisions. EMS-GRILTECH specializes in the development and production of fibers, hot melt adhesives, and viscose yarns for technical and textile applications, adhesives for the tire industry, powder coatings, and active thinners. EMS-PATVAG specializes in airbag gas generator triggers.

The EMS-GRIVORY business unit is a leading expert in high performance polymers and works with customers to create system solutions. EMS-GRILTECH develops and manufactures fibers for technical and textile applications, hot melt adhesives and fusible bonding fibers, bonding accelerators for premium tires, crosslinkers and active thinners for powder coatings.
MS has a total of 25 manufacturing sites in 16 different countries and conducts sales through its own sales companies or distributors/traders. As of December 2022, EMS Group has 2,693 employees and approximately 134 apprentices in Switzerland.
